Layering Washi Tape

Smile LoveHello, my name is Carson and I’m a Washi addict.  Money is also tight at the moment as both my husband and I are between jobs.  So as you can imagine, I’m jonesing pretty badly for a new little roll of sweet Washi bliss.  But last week, while playing around with my existing rolls of sticky addiction, I realized that with just the right layering I could make what felt like brand new strips of Washi tape.  I had found my fix!  I immediately made the card you see above to illustrate my elation and then I sat for literally a few hours to find the best Washi combos.  The combo below was my favorite of the night.  I just love how the two tapes combine to make an edgy, sketchy looking chevron pattern.washi faveHere are a few of the other combos I put together.  I recommend giving it a try yourself, perhaps when you need a hit of the sticky stuff but you’ve told your husband you quit cold turkey. washi combosOh, and here is a little Washi eye-candy for you all, enjoy!washi bucketI would love to know if you’ve used this technique before, and if you have a favorite combo. Let me know in the comments, or you could just link to a picture of your Washi stash!  Thanks for stopping by!

Oooo I love this idea! :D I’m trying so hard to keep my washi collection contained in one glass jar, but it’s about to reach overflow level…argh.

I too love washi tape. I just bought a few rolls…probably shouldn’t have since I am on a budget…but it’s so addicting. ;) I love your layering ideas.
